Obituary for Betty J. Roland

Betty J.  Roland
Betty J. Roland, 72, of Lititz, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.

She was born in Ephrata to Ruth (Good) Burkhart and the late John Burkhart and was the wife of Terry L. Roland, with whom she would have shared 53 years of marriage on November 21st.

Betty was an animal lover, especially dogs and cats, and she had a special bird. She also enjoyed working in her flower beds, and doing arts and crafts.

Betty worked as an activities coordinator for Denver Nursing Home.

In addition to her mother and husband, Betty is survived by 2 sons, Troy L. Roland and wife Leanne of Ephrata, Shaun W. Roland and wife Liz of Lititz; 6 grandchildren, Amanda, Katrina, Brandon, Alyssa, Preston, and Addison; 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley and husband, Paul Weaver; 2 brothers, Wilmer Burkhart and wife Maryanne, and John Burkhart, Jr. and wife, Ann.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, from 6 to 8 pm at Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut St., Denver.
