Obituary for Roger Lee Blount

Roger Lee Blount
Roger Lee Blount, 65 Years, of Ephrata, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.

He was born in Lancaster to Ruth E. (Baisch) and the late Nolan L. Blount and was the companion of Roxanne Bentzel.

Roger was an electrician. He loved fixing things up and working around the house. He liked the outdoors, especially spending long weeks and weekends at their RV in Lycoming County, loving the solitude of nature with Roxi and their springer, Mercy. He enjoyed taking their boat out on the lake at Little Pine State Park to fish and eagle watch. He will fondly be remembered for his deep belly-busting laugh and stories about "the big one that got away."

In addition to his mother and companion, Roger is survived by a daughter, Charese Johnson of West Chester; two brothers, Nolan S., husband of Julie Blount of Columbia, Scott A. Blount of Columbia and a sister, Susan L., wife of Dang Warner of Lancaster.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family at a later date.
