I remember when I was about 7 years old dad took me into the butcher shop over at Uncle Pike's house, they were in the process of making scrapple, and they pulled this piece of meat out of the kettle it looked really gross, I asked dad what it was and he said it was the cows tongue. I asked him what they were going to do with it and he looked at me and said we are going to eat it.I told him that is so gross I would never eat that but he told me to try it, I didn't want to but he was like you might like it so I did and it wasn't so bad. He looked at me and said see you survived eating it.
