Condolences

Condolence From: Jon Hughes
Condolence: I hunted just twice with Bob, once about 13 years after the passing Earl and then again this past November. Every year in between, Tim would call me in August and say “Jonny, you comin’ this year? Dad’s been asking about you and wants to know if you will be there.” As I had started my family and new jobs every year there always seemed to be something that kept me from going. I won’t say it was an excuse, because I am sure at the time it seemed important to me or my family and time just did not permit. Often I’d respond “we’ll see about next year” or “someday we’ll have the time” … or some other “Cats and the Cradle” like BS response. Anyways, in that timeframe over the years I would, on occasion, see Tim and his family in Pa; albeit for a weekend visit or even just a quick stop on my way through on business where I would be there for an hour or two. Every single time I did that I would pull in the driveway, Tim would great me as usual, hand me a beer and then next words out of his mouth were always something like “Dad and Faith are on their way to see you.” or “Bob’s coming over, pull up chair”. I believe that every single time I was in town Bob went “out of his way” to see me, but as I soon learned, he was not going “out of his way”; it just was “his way”. It might sound like a memory of regret, but it is a memory of something Bob taught me that will make me a better person and for that I am eternally grateful. Enough said on that. Godspeed Bob!

Condolence: Faith, I was saddened to hear about Bob. He was one of the really "good guys" in the old GPU gang. Please accept my deepest sympathies on your loss.

Condolence: Faith:
We were shocked and sadden to read of Bob's passing. It was not too long a go that we talked out side of CVS. It was always good to see the two of you over the years.

I always had much respect for Bob. He was a member of the original GPU IS organization that we started in November 1969. He always made considerable contributions to the success of IS and the people we served.

It was always fun to socialize with Bob when the IS gang was able to be together outside of work.

Faith, you and Bob are in our thoughts and prayers. Please remember the good times together as they will get you thru these difficult times.

Don and Kitty Wise

Condolence: I never worked in the same area with Bob, but I did enjoy talking with him many times. I had hoped that you and Bob could have made it to our Monthly Olive Garden Luncheon. I am so sorry for your loss. His memories will live on.

Condolence: Faith,

I'm so sorry to hear about Bob.
I hadn't seen Bob in years, but still have plenty of great memories of the years I worked with him. All of his "sayings" and little poems come back from time to time....his memory lives on.

Tom
