I had the pleasure of sitting and talking with Steve everyday before we started work. We had some pretty good conversations. I will miss Steve greatly and I too wonder when he will walk through that lunchroom door with a coffee in his hand. Steve left a big void for many of us when he passed. But many of us know he is with God and a better place pain free and full of happiness. Condolences to the Stauffer family and may you find peace knowing your loved one is with God.

I was shocked and saddened when I read Steve’s obit in the paper yesterday. Please allow my wife, Judy and I to express our sincere condolences. As you all well know, Steve and I worked together for 26 years at old Science Press. He was the first person I really connected with at SP – down in shipping (fancy that ha ha ha!) Of course it has been quite a while since we all connected; still though, I am truly sorry for the loss of your son and brother. Please allow me to share some words of comfort that have been especially meaningful to me at times like this: “God in love has promised grace for every trial. Strength for every sorrow, help for every mile, and may God in sympathy and unfailing love impart help for each tomorrow and new courage to your heart.” Remember these words of Scripture: “Cast your burdens upon the Lord and God shall sustain you; the Lord shall never allow the righteous to be moved…Cast all your cares upon God for the Lord God cares for you.” (Psalm 55:22, 1st Peter 5:7) Know that we are mourning with you in your loss and joining with you in wonderful memories of Steve’s life.

In Him and Him alone,

Judy and Fred Holler

We will miss Steve greatly! The few short years I have known Steve, he was a friend I enjoyed working with and talking to on a daily basis. I still look over at Steve's table at work and expect to see him walk in at any moment, like he is on vacation and will be back. It is sad that he left us so soon, so unexpected. I wish you peace and comfort Steve and, one day, we will meet again. Take care buddy!
