Henry Albert Brendler, 90, formerly of Green Village, New Jersey, entered into rest at Ephrata Manor, on Saturday, April 11, 2009. He and his wife moved to Ephrata in 1985.
He was born in Newark, New Jersey, a son of the late Henry and Florence Titman Brendler. His wife of 62 years, Marion Stiner Brendler survives him, as well as his children, Stephen H. Brendler of Westbury, NY, Ralph E., husband of Carol Brendler of Ottowa, Canada, Barbara A. Brendler of Denville, NJ, and Susan M., wife of James Meyer of Evans, GA; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Floyd Brendler of Newton, NJ.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Brendler.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army, and worked for the Benjamin Moore Co., Montvale, NJ, for 44 years retiring in 1983.
A member of the Hope United Methodist Church, Ephrata, Henry enjoyed woodworking, making clocks and gardening.
The funeral service and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
