Frederick B. Gutjahr, 82, of Ephrata, entered into rest at Lancaster General Hospital, on Sunday, April 20, 2008, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident earlier in the week.

He was born in Gernsheim Am Rhein, Germany, the son of the late Johann Friedrich and Anna Elizabeth (Mueller) Gutjahr. He was the husband of Agnes Alice (Wutzke) Gutjahr and they were married for 56 years.

He was a member of Dove Christian Fellowship, and enjoyed sending church material to other countries, singing, music, hospital visits and people.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, John, husband of Miriam Gutjahr of Lititz, and his brothers and sisters, Georg, Nicklaus, Joseph, Elizabeth and Erna, all of Germany.

A graveside service will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, April 24, 2008, in Lincoln Cemetery, Ephrata with a memorial service to follow at 11 A.M. at Dove Christian Fellowship, 1755 West Main St., Ephrata, with Rev. Duane Britton and Rev. Deryl Hurst officiating.
