Clarence N. Zimmerman, 93, of Stevens, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018, at his home.

He was born in East Earl to the late Reuben and Lydia (Newswanger) Zimmerman and was the husband of the late Ellen N. Zimmerman who passed away in 2008.

Clarence was a member of Springville Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

He is survived by 6 sons, Walter Z., husband of Anna Ruth (Hoover) Zimmerman of Denver, Ray Z., husband of Nancy (Brubaker) Zimmerman of Lebanon, Clarence Z., husband of Erla (Brubaker) Zimmerman of Denver, Edwin Z., husband of Kathryn (Oberholtzer) Zimmerman of Manheim, Lester Z., husband of Joan (Horst) Zimmerman of Stevens, Curvin Z., husband of Suzanne (Nolt) Zimmerman of New Holland; 4 daughters, Mildred Z., wife of Noah Hurst of Lititz, Elva Z., wife of Clair Nolt of Myerstown, Wilma Z., wife of Walter Martin of Stevens, Ellen Z., wife of Wilmer Horst of Shreve, OH; 67 grandchildren; 281 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Reuben Zimmerman of Denver, Isaac, husband of Ella Zimmerman of Ephrata; 3 sisters, Laura Reiff of Millmont, Mary Ella Zimmerman of Leola and Ida, wife of Willis Stauffer of Denver.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 1 grandchild; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Anna Rissler and Leah Brubaker.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, at the Midway Mennonite Reception Center, 210 E. Lexington Rd., Lititz. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at 8:45 am, at Midway Mennonite Reception Center, with further services at 9:30 am, from the Springville Mennonite Church, 580 Springville Rd., Ephrata, with Bishop Melvin Martin officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
