Obituary for Naomi Irene Martin

Naomi Irene  Martin
Naomi Irene Martin, 86, of Lititz, formerly of Ephrata, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017, at Landis Homes.

She was born in Ephrata to the late Ralph and Martha (Sauder) Mohler and was the wife of the late Phares Gehman Martin.

She was a member of Alive Church, Ephrata.

Naomi was a registered nurse and a secretary for Martin and Mohler Inc. She graduated from Ephrata High School in 1948 and LGH School of Nursing in 1951. She was an avid quilter and a competitive scrabble and tennis player. She enjoyed volunteering at Landis Homes and Meals on Wheels and loved going to the beach at Long Beach Island, NJ.

Naomi is survived by a son, Christopher Joel, husband of Theresa (Carsello) Martin of Lititz; 3 daughters, Patty Sue Martin of Lancaster, Debra Ann, wife of Robert Rissler of Denver, Amy Louise, wife of Dwight Gold of Hagerstown, MD; 11 grandchildren, Yahna, wife of David McFalls of Ephrata, Erik, husband of Cara (Zachary) Woodland of Washington Boro, Keith, husband of Sarah (Sturgill) Woodland of Knoxville, TN, Katrina Spraglan of Enola, Jamie, wife of Matthew Rothman of Wayne, Allie, wife of Connor Whitesel of Stafford, VA, Travis Gold of San Jose, CA, Mehgan Pleasant of Bronx, NY, Kayleigh McRae, Sawyer Martin and Brigham Martin all of Lititz; 8 great-grandchildren and a sister, Ann Zimmerman of Ephrata.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Mohler.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017, 11:00 AM at the Alive Church, 510 Stevens Road, Ephrata, with Pastors Peter Cook, Jeffrey High and Jack Scandrett officiating. Family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be private in the Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery.
