Obituary for Albert B. Stief Jr.

Albert B.  Stief Jr.
Albert B. Stief, 78, of Ephrata, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.

He was born in Rothsville to the late Albert and Kathryn (Carpenter) Stief and was the husband of Shirley Stief with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.

Albert worked as a propeller manufacturer for Sensenich Propeller. He enjoyed reading, fishing, watching Nascar, and his favorite drink was a shot of Kessler's.

In addition to his wife, Albert is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Shepp, fiance of Stan Kulikowski, Jr. of Lititz; a son, Rick, husband of Tammy (Sweigart) Stief of Ephrata; 4 grandchildren, Dustin, Stephanie, Cody, and Stacey; 2 sisters, Audrey Adams of Rothsville, Kathy, wife of Thomas Adams of Lititz.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Jack, Robert, Edward and Richard Stief.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016, from 6 to 8 PM, at the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 North Ninth Street, Akron. An additional viewing will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016, from 9 to 10 AM, followed funeral services at 10 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Walter Carter officiating. Interment will take place in the Rothsville Lutheran Cemetery.
