Obituary for Scott William Holochuck

Scott William  Holochuck
Scott William Holochuck, 50, of Ephrata, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Wellspan York Hospital.

He was born in Kingston, NY to Nordica (Hull) Holochuck and the late John Holochuck. Scott was the husband of Jill (Degenhardt) Holochuck with whom he shared 26 years of marriage.

Scott was a graduate of Ithaca College and earned his masters degree from Northeastern University. He was employed as a Mortgage Banker for 25 years prior to becoming a Day Trader.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by 3 children, Rachel, Ryan and Carly Holochuck, all at home; 6 siblings, Clifford Holochuck, fiancé of Rayne Palmer of San Francisco, CA, Darlene Hull, wife of René Grullón of Puerto Rico, Jeffrey Holochuck of Ephrata, Mark Holochuck, husband of Patti of Kingston, NY, Susan Holochuck, wife of Carlton Stewart of Hurley, NY, Nordica Holochuck, wife of William Spearance of Saugerties, NY and numerous nieces and nephews.

Aside from being an active member of the community through service on numerous boards and committees, Scott loved spending time with his family and friends, swimming at the beach and fly fishing.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 6, at 4 pm, at the Ephrata Church of the Brethren, 201 Crescent Ave., Ephrata, with Pastor Rob Eshelman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions in Scott's memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Greater PA Chapter, 2595 Interstate Dr., Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
