Obituary for Terry Allen Wenzel

Terry Allen  Wenzel
Terry Allen Wenzel, 57, of Adamstown, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy.

He was born in West Cocalico Twp. to the late Martin F. and Erla H. (Wolf) Wenzel.

Terry was a member of the Swamp Lutheran Church. He enjoyed classic cars and motorcycles, model railroading, collecting military memorabilia and books, and odds and ends antiques. He especially enjoyed his beloved Chocolate Lab, Bear.

Terry served in the Army and later the Army National Guard at Fort Indiantown Gap for 20 years. His civilian career began in the Plastics Industry where he was still working as a Production Supervisor at Dart Container in Leola.

Terry is survived by a daughter, Melissa Wenzel-Miller, wife of Derek Miller of Denver; 2 brothers, John L. Wenzel of Stevens, and Donald R., husband of Carol Wenzel of Mount Airy; and 2 sisters, Gladys L., wife of the late Robert C. Lutz of Denver, and Joyce E., wife of Norman H. Saville of Robesonia.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sherie (Schwenk) Wenzel, who died in 1980; and a brother, Thomas Wenzel.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015, from 6 to 8 pm, and on Friday, from 9 to 10 am, at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home , 533 Walnut Street, Denver, where funeral services will follow at 10 am, with Pastor Dennis L. Trout officiating. Interment will take place in the Swamp Lutheran Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Red Rose Honor Guard.
