Esther B Zimmerman, 82, of Ephrata, died at her late residence 1746 Division Highway, Ephrata on Saturday evening January 21, 2006 following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Martindale, a daughter of the late Jonas and Minnie Burkholder Reiff. She was the widow of the late David S Zimmerman who died in 1984.

Esther was a member of the Martindale Old Order Mennonite Church(Groffdale Conference).

Surviving are 8 daughters: Minnie w/o the late Willis Fox of Greenwich, Ohio, Mary w/o Paul Fox of Martinsburg, Pa, Anna w/o Titus Nolt of Ephrata, Esther w/o Floyd Weaver of Lewisburg, Ada w/o Nelson Weaver of Ephrata, Ruth w/o Floyd Newswanger of Lititz, Vera w/o Alvin Oberholtzer and Alma w/o Harvey Burkholder both of Shiloh, Ohio, 5 sons: Jonas h/o Mary Ella Weaver Zimmerman of East Earl, John David h/o Elizabeth Fox Zimmerman of Clyde, NY, Aaron h/o Susan Zimmerman Zimmerman of Lewisburg, Ammon h/o Edna Martin Zimmerman of Ephrata, and Marvin h/o Marian Weaver Zimmerman of Pen Yan, NY.100 grandchildren, 177 greatgrandchildren, a sister Margaret w/o Aaron Zeiset of Leola, and brother, Jacob Reiff of Lititz.

She was preceded in death by her parents,a brother Aaron Reiff, 4 grandchildren, and 3 greatgrandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at her late residence with further services at 9:30 AM at the Martindale Old Order Mennonite Church, with Bishop Titus Martin and ministers Ezra Zimmerman, Leroy Zimmerman and Alvin Leid officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at her late residence.
