Shirley A. Long, 82, of Ephrata, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.

She was born in Akron to the late Ira and Maria (Dissinger) Haldeman and was the wife of Robert R. Long, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.

Shirley enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, spending time with family, and was an avid Phillies fan.

In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by a daughter, Deborah A. (Jeffery) Hess; 2 grandsons, Andrew (Samantha) Hess, and Erik Hess and companion, Autumn Wright; and a great-grandson, R.J. Hess.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Long, and a sister, Dorothy Rebo.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, from 10 to 11 am at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am, with Pastor Steve Holubec officiating. Interment will take place in the Fairview Cemetery Annex.
