Richard D. Haynes, 79, of Stevens, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at home.
He was born in Stamford, CT to the late Oliver and Dorothy (Julius) Haynes and was the husband of Annabelle (Trupe) Haynes, with whom he would have shared 61 years of marriage on September 22nd.
He was a member of East Cocalico Church of the Brethren in Reamstown. He loved target shooting, hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and going to car auctions.
Richard worked for PA Mallible Iron in Landisville for 30 years and Bob's American for 50 years, prior to his retirement.
In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by 4 children, James Haynes and wife Ginny of Kleinfeltersville, Gerald Haynes of Stevens, Richard D. Haynes, Jr. of Denver, and Patricia Haynes and fiance`, Bruce Nichols of Denver; 2 grandchildren, Keith Heck and Sarah Howe; 2 great-grandchildren, Joshua Heck and Jonas Howe; 3 brothers, Stuart Haynes and Edward Haynes, both of Orange, VA, Gerald Haynes of Texas; and a sister, Carol Cecire of Orange, VA.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017, from 9 to 10 am at the East Cocalico Church of the Brethren, 4 Bunker Hill Road, Reamstown. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 am, with Pastor Tom Weber officiating. Interment will take place in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
