Helen Smith Erb, 88, formerly of Ephrata, entered into rest at Delaney Park Health and Rehabilitation Center, Orlando, FL on Sunday, June 4, 2017, where she had been a resident for 6 years.

She was born in Millway, a daughter of the late William and Annie Smith. She was the wife of the late Melvin G. Erb for 62 years and resided in Orlando, FL since 1987.

Helen was a seamstress at Hesteco Dress Factory for many years. She was a long time member of the Ephrata Church of the Brethren before moving to Florida.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Beverly E., wife of James Shoemaker of Orlando, FL and Carole A, Montes of Ephrata; 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Edith Snyder of Reinholds.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold T. Smith.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017, from 1 to 2 PM at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Avenue, Ephrata followed by funeral services at 2 PM with Pastor Galen Hackman officiating. Interment will take place in the Memory Gardens Memorial Cemetery.
