Delores "Dee" J. Reich, 80, of Akron, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.

She was born in Rothsville to the late Robert Elroy Young and Mary Rose (Boger) Young Mohn and was the wife of Richard Ronald Reich with whom she shared 59 years of marriage.

She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Akron.

Dee was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member and past president of the Akron Volunteer Firefighter Company Auxillary. Dee loved reading, crocheting, embroidery, and in her early years she was active in Girl Scouts. She enjoyed horse racing, fishing and visiting Potter County and Atlantic City, NJ and was a Nascar fan.

In addition to her husband, Dee is survived by a daughter, Wanda Jean Reich, wife of Ronald R. Smith, Jr. of Akron; a granddaughter, Holly, wife of Brian Binimow of Akron; a great-granddaughter, Faith Binimow; a brother, Robert Eugene, husband of Shirley (Brubaker) Young of Rothsville; a brother-in-law, Frank McSorley of CA and several nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jeannette McSorley.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017, from 6 to 8 PM at the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 North Ninth Street, Akron. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
