Eva Z. (Garman) Martin, 69, of Leola, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at home.

She was born in East Earl Twp. to the late Henry and Susie Mae (Zimmerman) Garman and was the wife of Phares E. Martin.

She was a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference).

Eva was a homemaker.

In addition to her husband, Eva is survived by 3 children, Janet G., wife of Delton Newswanger of Elkton, KY, Roy G., husband of Anna Mae (Stauffer) Martin of Leola, Margaret G., wife of Jere Burkholder of Elkton, KY; 18 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 4 brothers, John Z. Garman of Ephrata, Henry Z., husband of Erma (Fox) Garman of New Holland, Aaron Z., husband of Ella (Hoover) Garman of Penn Yan, NY, Clarence Z., husband of Alta (Hoover) Garman of East Earl; 5 sisters, Laura Z., wife of Mervin Martin of Roaring Springs, Susan Z. Reiff of Fortuna, MO, Anna Z., wife of Carl Martin of Goshen, IA, Ruth Z., wife of Elmer Oberholtzer of New Enterprise and Alta Z., wife of Menno Zimmerman of Orchard, IA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Levi Z., Irvin Z., and Ivan Z. Garman and a sister, Mary Z. Nolt.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the residence of Roy G. Martin, 92 Center Square Road, Leola,
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at 9 AM at the residence of Roy G. Martin with further services at 9:30 AM from the Groffdale Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference), Groffdale Church Road, Leola, with Bishop Ammon Weaver officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
