Ada (High) Long, 86, of Ephrata, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Fairmount Homes.

She was born in West Earl Township to the late Elmer Z. and Mary B. (Nolt) High and was the wife of the late Wilmer Long.

She was a member of The Alive Church, formerly Ephrata Mennonite Church since 1950.

Ada was a nurses aid at Ephrata Community Hospital for 21 years. After retirement she worked in the kitchen at Weaver's Markets. She enjoyed quilting , crocheting, crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ada is survived by 2 sons, Kenneth R., husband of Darla (Beitzel) Long, Charles W., husband of Karen (King) Long; a daughter, Anna Ruth, wife of Robert Snader; a brother, Ivan High of Pine Grove; 4 sisters, Lydia Sensenig of Ephrata, Esther, wife of Irwin Nolt of Ephrata, Vera Zimmerman of New Holland, Laura Martin of Ephrata; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Eugene Long; 5 brothers, Aaron, Melvin, John, Edwin, and Elmer High and 2 sisters, Mary Hoover and Emma Reiff.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017, from 12 to 2 PM at the Alive Church, 510 Stevens Road, Ephrata followed by funeral services at 2:00 PM with Pastors Jeffrey High, Peter Cook and Jack Scandrett officiating. Interment will take place in the Hammer Creek Mennonite Cemetery.
