Earl Anthony " Tony" Savant, 72, of Ephrata, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016, at home as a result of an aggressive from of cancer.
He was born in Lebanon to the late Rocco and Esther (Bond) Savant and was the husband of Marie Ellen "Mitzi" (Zinzella) Savant with whom he shared more than 48 years of marriage.
Tony worked in maintenance for Kleinfelter's Insurance and earlier for Bethlehem Steel in Morgantown. He was a graduate of Cornwall High School and served in the Army National Guard. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, traveling abroad and playing cards. He especially enjoyed Wednesday Circuit Breakfast Club with the boys and had a special love for animals.
In addition to his wife , Tony is survived by 2 daughters, Michelle L. Savant, wife of Larry Shutts of Atlanta, GA, Chelsea M. Savant, wife of Steve Hughes of Levittown; 2 grandchildren, P. Hudson and Bristol Violet Savant Shutts; 2 brothers, Rocco Jr., husband of Kathy (Wunsch) Savant of Lebanon, Lee, husband of Rita (Bomberg) Savant of Lebanon; a sister, Nina Lefever of Ephrata; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2016, from 2 to 4 PM at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Avenue, Ephrata. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
