Obituary for Kenneth L. Burch

Kenneth L.  Burch
KENNETH L. BURCH, 87, loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother passed on to Spiritual Salvation on Friday evening, October 21, 2016 at Arden Courts, Allentown after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

A graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens, Ephrata, PA on Tuesday, October 25 at 1 pm.

Ken was born in Jamestown, NY on November 27, 1928 to the late Alice (Alberg) and Roy Burch. After high school graduation, Ken served in the U.S. Army from 1946-1949 and was granted his wish to be stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. He later graduated from Hempstead Diesel School, Long Island. NY. After a long career with The Newark News, Ken then transferred to The New York Times as a delivery driver. He retired in 1986 and moved to Ephrata, PA. Ken had a passion for driving and camping and a love for all animals, especially dogs.

Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Doris Burch (Todd) of Allentown, PA, his daughters Linda Harlan (Timothy) of Citra, FL and Janice Trocino (Gary) of Livingston, NJ, and a granddaughter, Isabella Trocino of LIvingston, NJ.

He was predeceased by his sisters, Shirley Swanson (2015) of Gerry, NY and Barbara Miller (2013) of Kennedy, NY. Surviving sisters include Louise Wright (Thad) of Eden, NC, Lois Bowder (Adrian) of Falconer, NY, Kathy Burch of Lakewood, NY, and Becky FitzPatrick (Matt) of Ashville, NY. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 617 Main St., Hellertown, PA 18055, or an animal shelter of your choice.
