Obituary for Emory J. Weaver

Emory J.  Weaver
Emory J. Weaver, 75, of Denver, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016, at his residence.

He was born in Farmersville to the late Luke and Anna S. (Martin) Weaver and was the husband of Joan M. (Hahn) Weaver with whom he shared 37 years of marriage.

He was a member of Washington Avenue Bible Church in Ephrata.

Emory was a brick mason for Weaver's Masonry for over 50 years before retirement. He was a member of Men of Missions and enjoyed hunting, gardening and farming. In his early years he also enjoyed volleyball.

In addition to his wife, Emory is survived by 7 children, Nevin Ray Weaver of Rothsville, Charlene, wife of Robert Rothermel of Lancaster, Robert, husband of Pamela Nitsch of MO, Christine Carboni of Danville, Deborah Nitsch of Philadelphia, Sarah, wife of Teodor Florea of Ephrata, Candice, wife of Bryan Jay of Denver; 14 grandchildren, Natalie Grace Weaver, Benson Paul Weaver, Erika Rae Rothermel, Christopher Robert Rothermel, Sydney Marie Nitsch, Aaron Robert Nitsch, Nicole Stephanie Herrling, John Dominic Carboni, Noah Kevin Carboni, Owen Josiah Florea, Landon James Florea, Tyler Jay Weaver, Anthony Dylan Galbreath, Serenitie Sky Galbreath; 6 siblings, Irvin, husband of Esther Weaver of Ephrata, Luke, husband of Arlene Weaver of Ephrata, Thelma, wife of Nelson Hershey of Mountville, Edith, wife of Paul Gehman of Ephrata, Lloyd, husband of Naomi Weaver of Farmersville, Rosene, wife of Leonard Martin of Red Run.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Raymond and Charles Weaver; 2 sisters, Pearl Eberly and Miriam Weaver.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2016, from 6 to 8 PM at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. An additional viewing will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 10 to 11 AM, at the Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, 110 Durlach Road, Ephrata, followed by funeral services at 11 AM, with Pastor Tom Koch officiating. Interment will take place in the Fairview Cemetery Annex, Denver.
