Robert K. "Brummy" Brumbach, 85, of Ephrata, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at home.
He was born in Hopeland to the late Elmer S. and Emma W. (Kilhefner) Brumbach and was the husband of the late Shirley A. (Reitz) Brumbach, who passed away in 2007.
Robert was a member of the Teamsters Local. He was a champion Parcheesi player, and an avid sports spectator. He was a big fan of Nascar, the Phillies, and Eagles, and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War.
He worked as a truck driver, from the early age of 16, for DE-PEN-Line, formerly Ephrata Motors, having retired in 1992.
Robert is survived by 6 children, Lon, husband of Joanne (Brady) Brumbach of Manheim, Roberta, wife of Galen Weaver of Stevens, Brent Brumbach of Akron, Loren, wife of Merv Moshier of Denver, Holly Brumbach, partner of Jim Kohler of Schoeneck, and Kerri Tomlinson of Ephrata; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn, wife of Perry Hackman of Lititz.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, LeRoy Reitz, Irvin Brumbach, and Elmer Brumbach.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016, from 10 to 11 am at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. Funeral services follow at 11:00 am, with Pastor Richard Cook officiating. Interment will take place in the Hammer Creek Mennonite Cemetery.
