Glenn E. Bowman, 69, of Lititz, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.

He was born in Rothsville to the late H. Walter and Esther (Zimmerman) Bowman and was the husband of Barbara (Hess) Bowman with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.

Glenn was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church. He was the owner/operater of H. Walter Bowman and Sons. Glenn was also a volunteer for Rothsville Fire Company, notably one of the first junior firemen. He was also an avid fisher/hunter.

In addition to his wife, Glenn is survived by 2 sons, Ray, husband of Laura Bowman of Rothsville, Gene, husband of Lori Bowman of Rothsville; 3 grandchildren; a brother, Henry, husband of Eileen Bowman of Lititz; 2 sisters, Florence, wife of Bill Morgan of Rothsville, and Gladys, wife of John Snyder of Lititz.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Patrick Ryan Straw.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, from 6 to 8 pm, at the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 North Ninth Street, Akron. An additional viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, from 10 to 11 am, at the Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 36 Church Street, Lititz, followed by funeral services at 11am with Pastor Robert Lowden officiating. Interment will take place in the Rothsville Lutheran Cemetery.
