Obituary for Leo George Sr.

Leo  George Sr.
Leo George Sr., 87, of Moneta, VA, formerly of Lancaster County, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 7, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Millett George and Christine Valerio and was the husband of the late Theresa (DeFeo) George who preceded him in death in 2000.
Leo was in various sales positions throughout his career. He enjoyed cooking, reading and traveling.
Surviving are four sons, Joseph, husband of Elaine (LaMotta) George of Davis, CA., Leo Jr., husband of Cindy (Bupp) George of Moneta, VA., Charles, husband of Lori (Strunk) George of Brickerville, and David, husband of Renee (Benedick) George of Ephrata; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a viewing on Sunday, June 12, 2016, from 1 to 2 PM at Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Avenue, Ephrata, PA 17522, followed by a graveside service at Muddy Creek Cemetery, 11 S. Muddy Creek Rd, Denver, PA 17517 at 2:30 PM, with Pastor William LaSalle officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Carilion Clinic Hospice, 1615 Franklin Road, Roanoke, VA 24016-5208 in Leo's memory would be appreciated.
