Sarah J. Evans, 90, of Stevens, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016, at Denver Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Berks County to the lateWalter and Carrie Ulrich and was the wife of the late Robert S. Evans, Sr., who passed away in 1990.

She was a member of the Muddy Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denver, and loved playing bingo.

Sarah is survived by 2 daughters, Barbara A. Ruth and Patricia L. Felpel, both of Ephrata; 4 grandchildren, Michael Zimmerman, Kevin E. Evans, Stacy L. Warner, and Melissa Suwinski; and 9 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, Robert S. Evans, Jr. and Ronald G. Evans; a grandson, Jamie Ruth; and 7 siblings.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016, from 6 to 8 pm at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. An additional viewing will be held on Saturday, June 11th, from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 am, with Pastor Nancy Schwabe-Fry officiating. Interment will take place in the Millbach Community Cemetery.
