E. Beatrice Sweigart, 97, formerly of Ephrata, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016, at Fairmount Homes.

She was born in New Holland to the late Parke and Anna (Parmer) Parmer and was the wife of the late Elmer "Bupp" Sweigart.

Beatrice worked as a floor girl for Hesteco Garment Factory.

Beatrice is survived by a daughter, Phyllis J., wife of Carl "Pete" Ditzler of Ephrata; 2 granddaughters, Allison, wife of Rick Simmons of Ephrata, and Janna Ditzler of Pittsburgh; 1 great granddaughter, Becca.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Donald and Charles Parmer.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Avenue, Ephrata, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 am at the Cedar Hill Cemetery, 531 N. State Street, Ephrata, with Pastor Rodger Hornberger officiating.
