Marion L. Hackman, 88, of Denver, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Denver Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Scranton to the late Roy and Sarah Dingee and was the wife of Marvin L. Hackman, Sr., with whom she celebrated 63 years of marriage this past April 26th.
Marion enjoyed reading, word searches, crocheting, embroidering, going to the mountains, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She was a homemaker, and also worked as a shelf stocker for K-Mart of Ephrata for almost 20 years.
In addition to her husband, Marion is survived by 5 sons, Marvin Hackman, Jr. of Ephrata, Roy Paul, husband of Jackie (Hainley) Hackman of Ephrata, Eugene Lamar, husband of Patricia (Swisher) Hackman of Ephrata, Brett Hackman of Denver and girlfriend, Roxanne Eichler, and Thomas, husband of Heather (Wanner) Hackman of Sinking Spring, a daughter, Ramona Sally, wife of Rick Lorah of Reamstown; 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way; 2 brothers, Leroy L. "Johnny" Dingee of Fleetville, and Emmett E., husband of Midge Dingee of Clarks Summit.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert G. Dingee.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, from 6 to 8 pm at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. An additional viewing will be held on Thursday, May 26th, from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home, where funeral services will follow at 11 am, with Rev. Shawn Crills officiating. Interment will take place in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in East Hanover Twp.
