Obituary for Charles "Rick" Rickenbach

Charles "Rick"  Rickenbach
Charles S. “Rick” Rickenbach, 78, of The Villages, Fl, formerly of Ephrata, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy.

He was born in Ephrata to the late Charles H. and Thelma Mae (Sharp) Rickenbach and was the husband of Lois J. (Martin) Rickenbach.

Rick was a member of the Chapel of Christian Faith, The Villages, FL. He retired in 1996 after 33 years as a millwright at Armstrong World Industries. Rick faithfully served at the Wildwood Soup Kitchen in Wildwood, FL. He enjoyed Philadelphia sports, was an avid golfer and especially loved the Lord and his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Denise R. Zimmerman, fiancé of Bob Leonowich of Fleetwood, Deb, wife of Jim Kepiro of Strasburg; 2 step-daughters, Kim, wife of Jerry Keefer of Clay, Heidi, wife of Jason Gelnett of Harrisburg; 4 grandsons; 3 step-grandsons and 2 step-granddaughters; a brother, Leslie, husband of Joyce Rickenbach of Leola and a sister, Henrietta, wife of Lloyd Mull of Ephrata.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara A. (Bair) Rickenbach and a daughter, Dori-Lynn Rickenbach.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 17, from 5 to 7 pm, at the Ephrata Church of the Brethren, 201 Crescent Ave., Ephrata, followed by a memorial service at 7 pm, with Pastor Galen Hackman officiating. Interment will be private in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rick's memory may be made to The Wildwood Soup Kitchen, 203 Barwick St., Wildwood, FL 34785.
