Laura M. Sweigart, 76, of Stevens, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy.

She was born in Robesonia to the late Lester L. and Ruth Ellen (Althouse) Frantz and was the wife of Donald C. Sweigart, with whom she shared 31 years of marriage.

She was a member of Zion UCC in Womelsdorf, where she loved to sing as a member of the church choir. She and Donald were snowbirds in Florida for many years, and they loved to travel on their motorcycle. She also loved playing cards and bingo.

In addition to her husband Laura is survived by 6 children, Patti A., wife of Gary Letterhouse, Denise L., wife of Douglas Lausch, Debra L., wife of Barry Wenrich, Kathy M. Madara, Dennis L., husband of Tammy Sweigart, and Denise Hoffa; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; and a brother, David L. Frantz.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016, from 12 to 1 pm, at the Zion United Church of Christ, 12 S. 2nd St., Womelsdorf, followed by a memorial service at 1 pm, with Pastor Leon C. Moll officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family
