Obituary for Rosann "Iris" Caverly

Rosann "Iris"  Caverly
Rosann "Iris" Caverly, 73, of Ephrata, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at home.

She was born in Kearny, NJ to the late Lionel and Rose (Forfar) Nicholas. She was the wife of John T. Caverly, Sr.

In addition to her husband, Iris is survived by 5 children, John T. Caverly, Jr., Donna M. Rockafellow, Denise Kodym, Doreen Kiapokas, Patrick Caverly; 15 grandchildren; 3 great granddaughters; 2 brothers and their wives, Bob and Connie Nicholas and Charlie and Ginny Nicholas, and was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bill and Tommy Nicholas.

Iris grew up in Clark, NJ and raised her children in Port Monmouth, NJ until relocating to Ephrata in 1994. Iris worked at Weavers Markets in the kitchen from 2007 until retiring in 2014. She enjoyed spending time with her family and doing gardening, crocheting, cross stitch and reading.

A visitation will take place on Monday, April 4, from 1-2 pm, at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Ave., Ephrata, followed by her memorial service at 2 pm. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions in Rosann's memory may be made to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
