Obituary for Betty Jane Mull

Betty Jane  Mull
Betty Jane Mull, 81, of Ephrata, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Hershey Medical Center.

She was born in Hershey to the late Enos and Daisy (Rapp) Kellenberger.

Betty was a sewing machine operator. She started at Terre Hill Manufacturing in 1955 and then transferred to Husin Shirt Factory, later known as Ship 'n Shore in Ephrata, for the next 25 years. In 1984 she went to work for Reamstown Garment for 16 years and in 2001 she moved on to New Holland Lingerie where she worked on uniforms for the 2004 Olympics. She then retired in 2006.

For Betty family was always her first priority. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her the greatest joy. In her younger years she enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, and reading. In her later years she enjoyed crossword puzzles, word searches, puzzles, and was a lifelong wrestling fan.

Betty is survived by 5 children, Kathy, wife of Ron Nolt of Stevens, Karen, wife of Mike Sweigart of Reinholds, John, husband of Joy Waltman of Akron, Gary, husband of Dawn Mentzer of Bird In Hand, and Kim Patterson of Lancaster; 2 step-children, Cindy, wife of Eugene Clippinger of Ephrata, and Vickie Kissinger of New Holland; 8 grandchildren, Kristopher, husband of Katie Nolt, Kody Nolt, Jeff, husband of Dena Waltman, Amber Sweigart, Christine, wife of Rascheed Richardson, Stephanie Adams, Tyler Mentzer, and Kaitlynn Mentzer; 5 great-grandchildren, Trae and Dane Waltman, Darius, Maya and Cameron Richardson; 3 step-grandchildren, Melanie Enyon, Erica Meashey, and Bradley Meashey; 2 brothers, Enos Kellenberger, Jr. of New Providence, and Edward Kellenberger of Mount Joy; .

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Joyce Elaine Waltman and Linda Jane Fromm; a grandson, Justin Sweigart; a step-granddaughter, Amy Meashey; a brother, Raymond Kellenberger, 2 sisters, Helen Ferguson and Irene Mackey.

A viewing will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 am, with Rev. David Swift officiating. Interment will take place in the Conestoga Memorial Park.
