Pauline H. Marxen, 89, of West Reading, formerly of Ephrata, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Manor Care Nursing Home.
She was born in Brownstown to the late Marvin H. and Ruth Burkholder (Herr) Marxen.
Pauline was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Congregational Church in Rothsville. She was also a member of the Ephrata VFW, and the Ephrata Amvets where she also was a cook.
Throughout the years she worked for Dutchmaid, Moyers, and the Millway Hosiery Mill.
Pauline is survived by 2 daughters, Theresa "Terry" D. Marxen of Ephrata, and Tina, wife of Mark Russum of Ephrata; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Betty J. Marxen, Ruth Marie Weidman, and Doris A. Wise, all of Ephrata.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sons, Rodney L., Gregory L., and Brian J. "Marti" Marxen; and a sister, Lois L. Patterson.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2015, from 6 to 7 pm at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Avenue, Ephrata. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm, with Rev. Abram Rhoads officiating.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
