Arline F. Althouse, 89, of Ephrata, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.

She was born in Auburn to the late Alvin C. and Grace Inez (Brensinger) Fryer and was the wife of the late Clifford R. Althouse who passed away in 1997. Arline and Clifford spent their retirement years in Mount Gretna.

Arline was a member of First United Methodist Church, Ephrata. She retired in 1991 from Donecker''s where she had been a seamstress. Arline was a former member of the Red Hat Ladies Society. She enjoyed folk art painting and basket weaving at the Kutztown Folk Festival with Ned Foltz.

She is survived by a son, Jay L., husband of Sally (Albrecht) Althouse of Raleigh, NC; 2 daughters, Jayne L., wife of Steven Schwilk of Reamstown, Susan I., wife of Bryan L. Imhoff of Ephrata; 2 grandsons, Dustin M. Imhoff, Kyle D. Imhoff and a twin sister, Geraldine Klinger of Marietta, GA.

A viewing will be held on Friday, August 28, from 10 to 11 am, at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Ave., Eprhata, followed by her funeral service at 11 am, with Pastor Joe Hyatt officiating. Interment will take place in the Fairview Annex Cemetery.
