Obituary for Margaret A. Gehman

Margaret A.  Gehman
Margaret A. Gehman, 93, of Lititz, formerly of Denver, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Landis Homes in Lititz.

She was born in Denver to the late Monroe H. and Mildred B. (Bard) Gehman.

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Denver, where she was the organist for many years, a Sr. High Sunday School teacher, member of the church board and she served as the Financial Secretary. A graduate of Denver High School Class of 1939, Margaret was a member of the Cocalico Area Women's Christian Fellowship, and a charter member of Denver Women's Club.

Margaret worked for Mi-Jan Fabrics for 17 years.

Margaret is survived by 3 brothers, Clarence B. and wife Margaret, Lititz, G. Roger and wife Dolores Gehman, Ephrata, Thomas M. Gehman, Colorado Springs, CO, and 2 sisters, Evelyn G. and husband Randall Kegerise, Denver, PA, and Marion G. Lorah, Sinking Spring; and numerous nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Robert H., Emerson J., and Marvin L. Gehman; and a sister, Barbara G. Nelies.

The family would like to extend a special thanks for the wonderful care offered by the staff at Landis Homes and Hospice and Community Care.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 12, from 1 to 1:30 pm at the Landis Homes, Bethany West Chapel, 1001 E. Oregon Road in Lititz. A memorial service will follow at 1:30 pm, with The Reverend Clair Wagner officiating. Interment will take place in the Denver Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Margaret's memory may be made to Landis Homes Caring Fund, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz, PA 17543 or Hospice and Community Care, P. O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
