Obituary for James F. Fromm

James F.  Fromm
James F. Fromm, 68, of Ephrata, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was born in Lancaster County to the late Francis F. and Ada C. (Mentzer) Fromm and was the husband of Kim I. (Manmiller) Fromm with whom he shared 22 years of marriage.

James worked as a product analyst for Dorma America. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed bowling, attending car cruises, camping and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Tabitha, wife of Brent West of Portland, OR; a son, Thomas R. Bingeman of Ephrata; 4 grandchildren, Lori, Blaze and Isabelle Smith, Jayden Reber Bingeman; 5 siblings, Larry, husband of Beverly Fromm of Ephrata, Shirley Fassnacht of Stevens, Beverly, wife of Randy Musser of Fivepointville, Daisy Mae, wife of Steve Yingst of MA and Cathline Ulrich of Bernville.


A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, from 6 to 8:00 pm, at Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Ave., Ephrata. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 8, at 10 am, at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with Chaplain Allen Helwig officiating. There will be a prompt departure from the funeral home on Friday at 8:30 am, traveling to Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in James' memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, East Central PA Chapter, 906 Penn Ave., Suite LL, Wyomissing, PA 19610 or the American Heart Association, 10 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
