I'm in total disbelief; I talked to Donna only a few short weeks ago. . Donna was hands down one of the sweetest, kindest, caring, loving and genuine persons that I have ever had the privilege of knowing. .
I met Donna not as most of her former co-workers had; instead I met Donna a few years before I started at PAI at a mutual friend and co-workers home. . Looking back I can say the afternoon that I met and spent with her and our friend Mary is in the books for one of the best afternoons I've had thus far in life. . We didn't do or talk about anything special, we just sat out on Mary's deck and chatted and got to know one another. . It was so wonderful because as you all know Donna was very sweet, easy to get along with and loved to talk, just like I do! Over the years we had many a long talks and visits; both at work, at her home and stamping events. . I always came away from those visits and conversations feeling refreshed and renewed. . I could go on for hours; however if you knew Donna, you already know what Im trying to get across..
This is for you Donna... Do you like wood?!?!?!?!? ......Some of you will know what is meant by that and others won't; however after and eventful trip to Erie many years ago we almost always talked about and said that statement every time we saw or talked to one another.
I will miss Donna but I know she will live on in the hearts and minds of her beloved boys, her mother, other family members and countless friends. . Until we meet again my dear friend you will remain in my heart and every time I think of the statement "Do you like wood?" or think of or see a lady bug I will remember you warmly and smile and think of all the fond memories I have of you.. I'm a better person for having know you!!
My deepest sympathies and condolences go out to her family.. Gerrie, Tom, Tim and Tony you and your families are in my heart and prayers. . May God comfort you in this time of loss and sorrow and guide you with strength and understanding in your time of need..
