Obituary for Frederick W. Lutz
Frederick W. Lutz, 84, of Ephrata, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Moravian Manor, Lititz.
He was born in Ephrata to the late Earl and Irene (Frederick) Lutz and was the husband of Irene M. Lutz, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.
Fredrick was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Ephrata. He was the President of the Ephrata Area Chamber of Commerce, served on Ephrata Borough Council, was on the PA Shoe and Leather Association Board of Directors and was a 50 year member of the Ephrata Blue Lodge #665 F. and A.M. Frederick also had a real estate license, enjoyed golfing and fishing.
During his working years, Frederick was the President for Eby Shoe/Fleet Air for 38 years before retiring in 1986.
In addition to his wife, Frederick is survived by 3 nieces, Susan, wife of Miquel Cotto of Denver, Teresa Heishman of Reinholds, Penny Hemsley of Reinholds and a nephew, Dennis Keith of Manheim.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 5, from 1 to 2:30 pm, at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Avenue, Ephrata, followed by a Masonic service at 2:30 pm. Funeral services will follow, with Rev. Henry E. Herbener officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions in Frederick's memory may be made to the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602.
