Obituary for Cecelia M. Crills

Cecelia M.  Crills
Cecelia M. Crills, 79, of Ephrata, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at her residence.

She was born in Farmersville to the late Paul and Madeline (Martin) Burkholder and was the wife of Robert S. Crills with whom she shared 60 years of marriage.

Cecelia was a member of the Grace E.C. Church, Ephrata. During her working years, she was a seamstress for Yorktowne Manufacturing, Cinderella Knitting Mills and Dutchmaid, and later she cleaned at Hamilton Equipment. She enjoyed reading novels, going to the beach, bird watching and going to Disney World with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Shawn, husband of Nicole "Nikki" (Eberly) Crills of Denver; 3 daughters, Kathleen, wife of the late James Gottlieb of Ephrata, Karen, wife of Richard Ladner of Sewell, NJ, Lisa McDonald of Ephrata; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Glen, husband of Janice Burkholder of Akron, Kenneth Burkholder of Bernville, Curvin Burkholder of Berks County; 2 sisters, Marlene Bell of Bernville and Rhoda Renninger of Berks County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Ann Crills; 3 sisters Pauline Boyer, Ruthann Burkholder and Faye Burkholder.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 18, from 6 to 8 pm, at Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Ave., Ephrata. An additional viewing will take place on Monday, from 9 to 10 am, at Grace E.C. Church, 131 Terrace Ave., Ephrata, followed by her funeral service at 10 am, with Pastors Philip Walck and Shawn Crills officiating. Interment will take place in the Groffdale Mennonite Cemetery.
