Donald C. Ray, 85, of Ephrata, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014, at the Ephrata Community Hospital.

He was born in Wheeling, WV to the late Charles Ray and Mildred (Reynolds) Atkinson and was the husband of Margaret P. (Tennyson) Ray with whom he shared 64 years of marriage.

Donald had worked as an electrician for Raytheon. He was an avid Rams fan and loved NASCAR racing. He enjoyed family picnics and cooking on an open fire.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 6 children, Donald, husband of Connie Ray, Donna, wife of Thomas Polen, Pamela, wife of Erich Shellenberger, Cynthia Pugh, Karen, wife of Tommie David and Rebecca Ray; 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions in Donald's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Children's Miracle Network, Penn State Children's Hospital, 500 University Dr., Hershey, PA 17033.
