Obituary for Kerry Owen Doyle

Kerry Owen  Doyle
Kerry Owen Doyle, 82, of Lititz, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014, at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was born in Markham, WA to the late Larry and Margit (Wetteland) Doyle and was the husband of Susan M. (Dundore) Doyle with whom he shared 4 short but wonderful years of marriage.

Kerry was a member of the Lititz Moravian Church. He retired in 1994 as a supervisor of distribution for Acme Markets. In his early years, he was a police officer for the Ephrata Borough, and after retirement, he was a driver for Keller Bros. Ford, Lititz. He served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He enjoyed military history, especially of WWII and Korea, old movies, doing maintenance and light home repairs. He also enjoyed traveling and was especially fond of his trips to Chincoteague Island with Sue.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Anthony L., husband of Connie (Greene) Doyle of Grapevine, TX; 2 daughters, Angelique E., wife of Jeffrey Fritz of Mt. Joy, Karen L., wife of Kirk Buckwalter of Quincy, IL; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Violet E. ( Donmoyer) Doyle. Kerry was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 10, from 10 to 11 am, in the Eschbach Parlor of the Lititz Moravian Church, 8 Church Square, Lititz, followed by his funeral service at 11 am, with Pastors Mark Breland and Dean Jurgen officiating. Interment will take place in the Zeltenreich's Cemetery, New Holland, with military honors accorded by the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions in Kerry's memory may be made to the Lititz Moravian Church, 8 Church Square, Lititz, PA 17543.
