Angels
A few years ago, I had the opportunity to spend Christmas in Pennsylvania at Elaine and Matt's home. When it was time to exchange gifts, Laura and Don had wrapped up a beautiful golden angel for me. Don had handcrafted it and I immediately loved it and noticed something different about the wings. Don inspected it and said that I had a 'double' meaning that the wings had a double thickness. To me it was special and I vividly remember his inspection of the angel and the pride he obviously took in making it.
I also had the pleasure of spending Easters with all the Strohls and Don and Laura always extended such warmth and affection to me. Don had such a sweet way about him and I just loved watching him enjoy his children and grandchildren. He's left a strong legacy of family loyalty and responsibility that I sincerely admire. I will miss him and pray for Laura and all her family as they unite in supporting her in her loss.
Love,
Jean Thompson
