Marie Kelly Garner, 86, of Beverly Hills, FL, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Ephrata Manor, Ephrata.

She was born in Salisbury, MD, to the late Oleton M. and Elsie (Savage) Kelly and was the wife of the late James Leonard Garner Sr., whom passed away in 2007.

Marie was a wonderful mother. She also was the “neighborhood” mother, whom all the children would talk to. She was meticulous about taking care of her home. Marie was a strong woman who taught her children appreciation of reading and music. In addition, she enjoyed gardening.

Marie is survived by 2 sons, The Rev. James L. Jr., husband of Sharon Garner of Ephrata, Timothy, husband of Suzan Garner of Stephenson, VA; 4 grandchildren, Michael Kelly, husband of Carissa Garner of Pelham, AL, Jennifer, wife of Mark Delaney of Loveland, OH, James L. Garner III of Bensalem, PA, Jacob Sellman Garner of Dallas, PA,; 6 great grandchildren, Timothy, Brady, Colin, and Noah Delaney, Jake and Quinn Garner; and 2 sisters, Margaret Willett of MD, and Dixie Lee Morgan of Supply, NC.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, February 23, at Christ Church Episcopal, 112 E. Charles St., La Plata, MD, with The Reverend Joseph Trigg officiating. Interment will take place in Mt. Rest Cemetery, La Plata, MD.
