Obituary for William B. "Bill" Kimble

William Barrett "Bill" Kimble, 75, of Leola, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 5, 2022. He will be missed by all of his family, including his dog, Molly.

He was born in Ephrata to the late Samuel and Laverne (Gier) Kimble.

He attended and graduated from Ephrata High School in 1965. Retired, Bill worked hard his whole life. He was devoted to his family. His determination, dedication, love, and support for all of us, provided us a good life. He was a kind and selfless husband, father, and grandfather

He enjoyed fishing, even making his own flies for fly-fishing season, puzzle books, which kept his mind healthy and challenged, along with his newspaper by his side. He loved animals, watching the TV series “Dr. Pol” faithfully to learn as much as he could about the animal kingdom.

Bill is survived by his wife, Renee Kimble; children, Barbara Auker, Robert Kimble, Michael Hackman, Melissa Hackman, Stefanie Boyce; grandson, Joshua Oehme; brother, Lee Kimble of Ephrata, and sister, Pamela Flaherty of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and first wife, Linda A. (Steininger) Kimble.

Services and interment will be private at the request of the family.
