Obituary for William J. Dietz
William J. Dietz, 73, of Lititz, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021, at Lancaster General Hospital- Penn Medicine.
He was born in Bensheim, Germany to the late Lloyd and Klara (Dorsheimer) Dietz and was the husband of Kristi L. (Anne) Dietz with whom he would have celebrated 21 years of marriage on August 1st.
William worked for PA Liquor Control Board and previously was a chef and supervisor for Warner Lambert. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He had a great sense of humor, was a hard worker and very thoughtful; he enjoyed helping people. William loved gardening and bonsai trees, traveling, cooking, wine and music. He especially loved his animals and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, William is survived by three children, Christa Greenwood, Alexandria Getz, Justin Getz; eight grandchildren and a brother, Gary, husband of Sheree Dietz.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
