Obituary for Thomas E. Hammer
Thomas E. Hammer, 68, of Lititz, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021, at Susquehanna Valley Nursing Rehab Center.
He was born in Ephrata to the late Kenneth, Sr. and Tillie (Hammer) Buffenmyer and was the husband of Betty J. (Mentzer) Hammer with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.
Thomas was a material handler for R.R. Donnelly. He was a graduate of Cocalico High School, class of 1970.
In addition to his wife, Thomas is survived by two grandsons, Jackson Hehnly, Jace Hehnly; two brothers, Kenneth Buffenmyer, Jr. of Georgia, Frank Buffenmyer of Ephrata; four sisters, Rosemary Kulp of Ephrata, Tamela Zent of Ephrata, Bonnie Fullmer of Stevens, Susan Farnes of Utah and three special aunts, Mary Gockley Mildred Schofer, Irene Eshelman, all of Lititz.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Douglas E. Hammer and a brother, Robert Buffenmyer.
Services and interment will be private at the Brickerville St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
