Obituary for Steven R. Hoover
Steven R. Hoover, 45, of Ephrata, met Jesus face to face on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.
He was the son of Jean (Stoltzfus) Hoover, of New Holland, and the late Eli Hoover.
He was an active member of Hinkletown Mennonite Church where he was involved in all aspects of running the sound equipment.
Steven was a diesel mechanic and truck driver for Orlan Truss Hauling in New Holland. He was a hard worker and helped anyone who needed a hand. He will be missed by many.
He was the loving husband of Melinda (Martin) Hoover and the devoted father to Michael, Lincoln and Natalie, all at home. He is also survived by two brothers, John (Sothea) Hoover of New Holland, Rodney (Dia) Hoover of Alaska; three sisters, Donna (Chris) Patton also of New Holland, Jeanne (Boyd) Zimmerman, Sharon (Dwayne) Zimmerman, both of Quarryville.
A viewing will be held on Friday, April 19, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Hinkletown Mennonite Church, 2031 Division Highway, Ephrata. An additional viewing will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019, from 9 to 10 AM at the church followed by funeral services at 10:00 AM with Pastors Glenn Sauder, Jerold Martin and Jared Weaver officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
If desired, memorial contributions in Steven's memory may be made to Hinkletown Mennonite Church, 2031 Division Highway, Ephrata, PA, 17522 for the benefit of his children.
