Obituary for Sarah D. Romich
Sarah D. Romich, 78, of Adamstown, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023, at her home.
She was born in Philadelphia to the late Frederick and Betty (Dersheimer) Rees and was the wife of Frederick Romich, Jr. with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.
Sarah was a graduate of Abington Heights High School. She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Denver, Adamstown Woman’s Club, was a leader for Praise Club at Emmanuel Evangelical Church and was active in the Cocalico Girls Soccer Booster Club. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and cared for both grandsons when they were younger. Sally, as most of her friends called her, enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially to Austria, Switzerland and Wales. She loved walking her dogs, reading, gardening with her husband, and spending time with friends. She was very kind and always had a friendly smile to offer to all.
In addition to her husband, Sarah is survived by 2 daughters, Sandra, wife of O'Brien Byrnes, and Lynn, wife of Jonathan Parmer; 2 grandsons, O'Brien and Dolan; 2 step-grandsons, Tucker and Tanner; sister, Jeannette Jenkins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, John Keene, IV.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that individuals do an act of kindness for others or community service in Sarah’s memory.
Services are private at the convenience of the family.
