Obituary

Ruth E. Heck, 83, of Ephrata, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.

She was born in Ephrata to the late Charles H. and Ruth Elizabeth (Sweigart) Miller and was the wife of the late Raymond Heck , Jr. who passed away in 1984.

Ruth was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, spending time with the family, going to Carnivals and visiting the casinos. She was a humble person who loved people.

Ruth is survived by three sons, Rick, husband of Donna Heck of Conestoga, Dale, husband of Deidre Heck of Stevens, Ronald, husband of Sandra Heck of Hummelstown; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Ann Fort; her companion of fifty years, Irvin Firestone, Jr. and five siblings, Lester H. Miller, Mamie Lausch, June L. Getz, Charles Miller, Robert "Bobby" Miller. She was the last of her immediate family.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
