Obituary for Roger Edison Merrill
Roger Edison Merrill, 94, of Ephrata, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Lancaster General Hospital- Penn Medicine.
He was born in Wilmington, Delaware, to the late Edison Levering and Lenna Margaret (Teague) Merrill and was the husband of the late Joan E. (Blansfield) Merrill who passed away in 2013.
He was a member of Berean Bible Church, Ephrata.
Roger worked for IBM in several locations: Baltimore, Poughkeepsie, NY and Research Triangle Park, NC until his retirement.
He loved a Chick-Fil-A meal, and treasured the friendships he made at the Lancaster, PA location.
Roger is survived by his daughter, Karen L., wife of John Hoffman of Colorado Springs, CO; his son, Gordon R. Merrill, husband of Jeannette, of Columbus, IN; three grandchildren, Gregory, Jeremy, and Bethany Merrill; three great-grandchildren and his brother, William G. Merrill of Tucson, AZ.
His funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 27th at 11 AM at Berean Bible Church, 675 Lincoln Gardens Road, Ephrata, with Pastor Kelly Sensenig officiating. Interment will take place immediately after in the Lincoln View Cemetery.
